TVS Motor Company, one of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, has launched its brand-new electric scooter, TVS Orbiter, in the Indian market today. Positioned as an entry-level EV, the scooter comes with an ex-showroom price of ₹99,900, inclusive of the PM e-Drive scheme.

Even if the TVS Orbiter is advertised as a beginner’s scooter, it is anything but basic. It includes a number of remarkable features, several of which are first-in-segment. These include cruise control, a gigantic 34-litre boot space, and hill-hold assist – features typically found on more expensive scooters.
Regarding the Orbiter, TVS claims it has been designed to stand out while also intending to serve modern aesthetic and utilitarian purposes as it balances form and function.
With a seat length of 845 mm , the scooter provides a flat form seat which accommodates both the rider and the pillion comfortably. The 290 mm footboard is also flat which offers the rider adequate comfort during the cruise. Sleek led DRL and turn indicators integrated into the apron also add to the rider’s premium scooter experience. The scooter also comes with LED headlamps and tail lamps which add to the premium look.
Fitting two helmets inside Orbiter’s 34-litre under-seat storage compartment makes it one of the biggest in its class. Both ends mounted on 14-inch wheels increase road presence and stability.
It gets a digital LCD instrument cluster, and connected scooter tech with crash, fall, theft, geo-fencing and time-fencing alerts. A mobile app companion, meanwhile, allows riders to monitor battery status and range, as well as access turn-by-turn navigation, Eco & Power riding modes, regenerative braking, and other features.
With practical features like cruise control and hill hold assist , the Orbiter is designed to make urban commuting both comfortable and stress free. The scooter runs on a 3 . 1 kWh battery pack , offering a claimed range of up to 158 km on a single charge .The scooter will be available in a range of vibrant colors.
